After some confusion about delivery, nearly a month went by before I finally unpacked (read, "cut the monster plastic vacuum compression wrapper off") this 'futon' mattress.I had ordered the 8" Latex version of this offer - $699 - to replace a busted spring-based futon mattress. Whether Talalay latex or Dunlop latex was not specified, but certainly $700 for a latex mattress of either type seemed quite reasonable. Interestingly, the mattress has a consumer tag sewn to it that reads, "All new material consisting of: POLYURETHANE FOAM". Surely the label doesn't refer to the mattress cover (which is supposed to be bamboo fiber), and it was not visible until it was totally unpacked/inflated. It certainly FEELS like Polyurethane Foam, but I forgot to buy the Latex Mattress Test Kit (which is surely sold somewhere on Amazon).Before you purchase a foam mattress, consider that it will be vacuum packed and, once unpacked, any returns will be seriously difficult.
